SkillsUSA 2026 Commercial Roofing Competition Winners Revealed

The winners of the fourth annual SkillsUSA commercial roofing competition have been revealed.

The SkillsUSA National Championships is a student competition adopted by trade schools and sponsored by local industry.

The event was held during the week commencing June 1 at SkillsUSA’s National Leadership & Skills Conference in Atlanta.

Students from throughout the U.S. competed in state competitions to earn the right to compete for the national title. There were 21 competitors from 18 states in this year’s commercial roofing competition.

The competitors, following NRCA PROCertification^® standards, were tasked with installing single-ply membranes.

Commercial Roofing Winners

The winners are:

High School

• Gold – Mason Miller, Larned High School (Larned KS)
• Silver – Nathan Luz-Santos, Lebanon High School (Lebanon, TN)
• Bronze – Austin Gibson, Golden Strip Career Center (Greenville, SC)

College

• Gold – Sean McWilliams, Alfred State College – School of Applied Technology, (Wellsville, NY)
• Silver – John Prophete, Orange Technical College (West Campus, Ocoee, FL)
• Bronze – Adam Thornton, Central Georgia Technical College (Macon, GA)
