Merlo America Expands Leadership Team

Mike McBroom has joined Merlo America as Parts Manager, bringing more than 20 years of experience in parts operations, inventory management, and dealer support to strengthen the company’s growing North American operations.        

Mike brings more than two decades of experience in the heavy equipment industry, having held a variety of roles throughout his career. Throughout his career, Mike has held several senior parts leadership positions across both multiple equipment manufacturers and dealers.

Having worked closely with construction and agricultural equipment dealers, Mike has developed an understanding of the challenges faced by both dealers and customers.  He brings a unique perspective to the role, combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of dealer and customer requirements, says Merlo.

Mike commented: “What attracted me to Merlo America was the combination of the products and the people. The fact that the majority of parts are manufactured in-house in Italy demonstrates the level of engineering, quality and attention to detail that goes into every machine.

“Equally important is the culture here at Merlo America. There’s a genuine focus on supporting dealers and ensuring they have everything they need to succeed, and that’s something I really connect with.”

Expanded Leadership

Since his appointment in May, Mike has already developed a strategy to optimize stock capacity and maximize parts availability for dealers and customers through inventory management and warehouse operations.

“Our goal is to expand the range of parts we stock in our primary parts distribution warehouse in South Carolina, ensuring we have the capacity to support the growth of Merlo’s versatile product range,” says Mike.

“Currently, my focus is on reviewing our inventory profile and identifying opportunities to enhance the available warehouse space, allowing us to strengthen parts availability and provide even greater support for dealers. Ultimately, it’s about ensuring our dealers have quick and reliable access to the parts they need to keep their customers productive.”
