TaperedPlus Celebrates 10th Anniversary by Delivering Record £12.8m of Projects

TAPEREDPLUS, a supplier of flat roofing design and insulation systems, is marking its 10^th anniversary with the delivery of a record £12.8m worth of projects.

In June, the company secured a £5.5m investment from private equity firm BGF to fuel its growth plans.

The company now reports a record-breaking year having completed £12.8 worth of projects in the 12 months to the 31^st October, 2024. It also carried out additional international consultancy work during the year.

Co-founded by Aman Chahal and Rob Vase, TaperedPlus has grown from two-person startup to a team of 21. It operates from its headquarters on Teesside and a design studio in Wolverhampton.

To mark its anniversary Taperedplus brought members of the team together at its Stockton-on-Tees offices.

CEO Aman Chahal said: “As we celebrate a decade of achievements, we are also excited about the road ahead. The recent investment marks the beginning of a new chapter, enabling us to expand our capabilities, deepen our market presence, and continue setting industry benchmarks in quality and innovation.”

Rob Vass, Chief Revenue Officer, added: “Aman and I started TaperedPlus with a vision to fill a gap in the market with exceptional service and products. Watching that vision evolve over the past decade has been incredibly rewarding. We’re proud to lead with a technology-driven approach.

“While much has changed since we began, our commitment to excellence has been constant, and we’re excited for what the next 10 years will bring.”

Much of the company’s growth is due to new-build construction projects as well as moves towards improving the thermal performance of flat roofing, including retrofitting older structures with non-combustible materials.

Meanwhile, TaperedPlus has embraced a forward-looking approach, partnering with digital innovators AltLabs to create an Augmented Reality system that allows smartphones and tablets to scan flat roofs and provide accurate measurements. It is also collaborating with Teesside University academics to develop an Artificial Intelligence system aimed at streamlining its technical drawing processes.
