(L-R) Chair of The Rooflight Association, Mark Wilcox; Ian Smithson, Sales Director UK & Ireland, Palram UK and Craig Walker, Strategic Partner and Specification Manager (Daylight Systems), Palram UK.

Palram UK is the newest member to join the Rooflight Association.

Palram UK is a global manufacturer of thermoplastic rooflight and daylighting solutions for commercial, industrial, agricultural and architectural applications.

The company says that early insight into changes to Building Regulations, industry standards (e.g., fire, thermal performance, daylighting etc.) and compliance requirements was a key factor in joining the association.

Ian Smithson, Sales Director for Palram UK, commented: “Joining the Rooflight Association increases our credibility and demonstrates our professionalism as a manufacturer.

“By being a part of the ‘voice of the UK’s rooflight industry’ we can drive change – influencing standards and regulations. There is power in collaboration; it carries more weight than if we were to try this alone and this is something we’re keen to explore – networking with fellow manufacturers/members and specifiers to promote and educate the market on the use of rooflights and daylighting solutions.”

Expanded Member Network

Mark Wilcox, Chair of the Rooflight Association, added: “We are delighted to welcome Palram UK to the association. Our mission is to represent the collective interests of the entire rooflight industry, and this is only made possible by diverse opinions, input and experiences.

“As part of a global enterprise, Palram UK is a valuable addition. Their expertise will help us to continue our work in shaping building regulations, encouraging good practice and promoting the benefits of natural daylight to the wider construction industry. A unified voice is essential for pushing our industry forward and we look forward to Palram UK’s active contribution.”
