THE NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION Training Service and Master Roofers have joined forces to open a new roofing training centre in Salford, Manchester.

The training centre, which officially opens on 1 November 2020, will offer a comprehensive range of roofing training:

  • Slating and Tiling up to Level 3
  • Onsite Assessment Training (OSAT assessments)
  • Leadwork to Heritage level
  • Hard Metals to Heritage level

Range of roofing training

Master Roofers Managing Director, Stewart Rowles said, “What will set us apart is the range of what we’re offering. It’s not just the level 2 – although we are offering that training – it’s the more technically challenging courses for more experienced roofers, such as pattern tiling, laced valleys, lead detailing etc. But we’ll also be training in modern roofing practices using the latest products and solutions.

“We’ve have got a really comprehensive range of interesting and inspiring roofing rigs. There’s both pitched and flat: upstands, box gutters, aprons, dormers, hips, valleys, conical roofs, arches – you name it!

“The rigs are designed to prepare roofers for all those awkward and technically demanding, real-life roofing challenges.”
