Read the latest magazine Cladding Industry News Jobs Lost as Roofing and Cladding Firm Enters Administration 19 February 2024 A DURHAM-BASED roofing and cladding firm has gone into administration with the loss of 30 jobs. Aspect Facades Limited, which specialised in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of cladding and roofing systems, had experienced rapid growth over recent years. However, it collapsed following a series of external factors including delayed projects and rising costs. Founded in 2017, the company appointed FRP Advisory as administrators on 2 February 2024. Having begun its existence working on relatively small contracts, the company expanded to take on multimillion-pound contracts working with well-known construction firms in the North West. The business secured funding of £150,000 from the North East Loan Fund and North East Growth Capital Fund aiming for a £2.5m turnover. Aspect Facades Administration Subject to challenging trading conditions, which included project delays, cash flow obstacles ensued, impacting the company’s ability to operate and leading to the business’ closure and the end of 30 employee jobs. Martyn Pullin and David Willis of FRP Advisory are joint administrators. Martyn Pullin said: “Aspect Facades was a well-respected roofing and cladding specialist across the north of England – operating in the area for over seven years.” “We would encourage any parties with an interest in acquiring the assets to make contact with us as soon as possible.” BPI Asset Advisory has been engaged to lead the sale of the company’s assets.
