Control of Lead at Work Regs Consultation Launches

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has launched a public consultation to amend the Control of Lead at Work Regulations 2002 (CLAW).  

The consultation is now open for comments from employers and those directly involved in sectors that use lead.

HSE is seeking stakeholder views on proposals relating to:

• monitoring and lowering the blood lead exposure levels in CLAW
• amending the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) and guidance

HSE is also taking the opportunity of the consultation to gather evidence on ‘lead in air’ monitoring.
