Read the latest magazine Industry News Construction Company to Hire 30,000 People This Year 5 May 2026 Global construction company Bouygues says it will hire 30,000 people in 2026, with 2,700 vacancies expected to be filled in the UK. The company’s Construction Division (Colas Ltd, Colas Rail UK, Bouygues UK, Bouygues Travaux Publics UK) and Energies and Services businesses (Equans UK & Ireland) are recruiting across the country, mainly in the London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester areas. Bouygues is also recruiting thousands of people across the rest of the world, with 1,250 vacancies in Switzerland, 400 in Australia, and 300 in Morocco. Opportunities are available across all of the Group’s activities, requiring qualifications that range from vocational certificates to engineering degrees: in roles related to the energy transition and decarbonisation, such as maintenance technicians, installation technicians or electricians (Equans); in the construction, civil engineering and civil works sectors, such as works supervisors (Colas, Bouygues Construction, Bouygues Immobilier); and in the digital, telecoms network and media sectors, such as project managers or sales advisors (Bouygues Telecom, TF1).
