Read the latest magazine Cladding Industry News Insulation Cheshire Contractor Appoints Administrators 21 November 2024 CHESHIRE-BASED contractor, Lyjon Group, has appointed administrators after posting a big pre-tax loss. The firm provided services in cladding, insulation, construction, and electricals. In its most recent published accounts for the year to September 30, 2023, the firm recorded a turnover of £7.9m, down from £8.1m in the previous year. Lyjon made a pre-tax loss of £121,772 in its 2022 financial year. This worsened in 2023 to a £1.178m pre-tax loss. The accounts also showed that the firm employed an average of 49 staff during the financial year, down from 60 the previous year. Administrators Appointed Administrators from Opus Restructuring were appointed on 14 November. Lyjon’s registered address was switched to the Opus office four days later on 18 November. Founded in May 1964, the Lyjon Group is based in Telford Road, Ellesmere Port. The firm delivered projects ranging in value from £10,000 to £1.5m. In the past it has carried out work for local authorities including Wirral, Cheshire West, Chester, Knowsley, and Liverpool.
