BRE Appoints New CEO

BRE HAS APPOINTED Gillian Charlesworth, currently a member of the Global Executive team of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), as its new Group CEO.

Gillian will take up her new role in May 2019.

New BRE CEO

BRE Group says, “Gillian brings extensive experience as a leader, in both the UK and internationally, to the role. She is highly respected in her field and familiar with many of BRE’s existing clients and business activities. Her prior experience and leadership skills will be an important addition to BRE.”

Gillian will succeed Niall Trafford. Niall has indicated that he plans to move in future to further develop his career, building on the experience in various roles at BRE over the past 10 years. This has included being group chief operating officer, and since May 2018 acting chief executive.

BRE Group says his leadership over this period was critical to the successful expansion of the company, including in the US and China, in addition to being the driving force in establishing BRE’s digital presence.
