The company says this investment in advanced production technology is designed to enhance performance across the production process, improving capacity, consistency, and overall efficiency, and will help the business to support its customers across a wide range of construction and engineering projects. Strengthened Manufacturing Capability The newly installed robotic cell is already transforming the production of smaller sections. Processes that have traditionally required two skilled operators can now be carried out more efficiently, enabling team members to focus on higher-value work such as larger projects, more complex requirements and ongoing product development. Alongside this, the addition of a CNC machine marks a significant upgrade to the wider production line. Supporting the manufacture of both large sections and smaller components, the machine will be utilised in nearly every order processed by the company. This will help to provide enhanced precision, repeatability and consistency, ensuring reliable, high-quality output at scale. Darren Hall, Managing Director of Steadmans, commented: “We’re investing in our people, we’re investing in the future, and we’re investing in the region. This is about strengthening what we can deliver for our customers while continuing to support skilled manufacturing in Cumbria.” >> Read more of the latest roofing news Previous article Introducing STEICO Wood Fibre Insulation from KingspanNext article Have Your Say: CSCS Consulting on Provisional Card Renewal Share article You may also like View all News Cladding +2 14 September 2026 PAS 9980 Code of Practice Revised for External Wall Fire Risk Appraisals Cladding +2 11 September 2026 Contractor Secures Major Facade Package on New Huddersfield Museum Cladding +3 26 August 2026 Three New Member Companies for MCRMA Check out the latest issue 126 September-October 2026 View Now Past Issues Get in Touch Sign Up to Roofing Today Stay up to date with all of the latest news from Roofing Today by signing up to our weekly Bulletins… Sign Up Today Get in Touch
