XPO Logistics Partners with SOPREMA Group as Logistics Provider

XPO LOGISTICS is partnering with the SOPREMA Group as its main logistics provider across the UK.

Under this long-term partnership, XPO Logistics will serve as a ‘one-stop shop’, managing the UK distribution requirements for all of the SOPREMA Group’s brands, including SOPREMA, Celotex, YBS Insulation and Chesterfelt. XPO Logistics will streamline the movement of construction materials, ranging from mechanical off-loads and full truckloads to groupage and pallet network shipments.

A key factor in securing the partnership was XPO’s IT systems, which will add to SOPREMA’s commitment to reducing CO2 emissions throughout its operations. XPO Logistics is developing a sustainability plan to transition its core fleet for SOPREMA GROUP to HVO fuel in 2025. XPO’s technology specialists will also deliver a CO2 dashboard as part of its IT solution, supporting SOPREMA’s environmental goals.

The SOPREMA Group’s five operating locations in Witham, Hadleigh, Eggborough, Worksop, and Chesterfield will all be served by a mixture of core fleet, haulier partners, and pallet network activity provided by XPO. A core fleet of 23 trucks and 47 trailers will all be in the SOPREMA Group’s livery.
