Business Development Manager – Commercial Roofing

The Externals Group are working with a large commercial roofing contractor which runs multi-state operations. The company is on the look out for an experienced business development manager.

As a business development manager you will take lead of not only the sales but also the marketing share side of the business within a specific territory to build strong relationships, covering B2B sales. Your experience should demonstrate a strong track record in successfully selling to other businesses and the ability to build a strong portfolio of accounts using means of event networking, referrals and prospecting. This position would require the ability to work efficiently on a computer as well as being comfortable working at a desk for long periods of time.

General Responsibilities

• Develop a successful sales strategy within your territory to increase market share as well as creating a steady plan for future sales using the tools provided.
• Use techniques such as, networking, cold calling & prospecting to acquire new customers while maintaining current client relationships.
• Evaluate customer needs to provide as much relevant information so the team can provide accurate proposals.
• Work closely with sales reps, estimators and other support staff to ensure a smooth process for clients, providing excellent customer service throughout.
• Successfully track performance and create an accurate financial analysis on the completion of the job.

Requirements

• Proven track record of in portfolio building & B2B sales
• Strong networking, customer communication, organization & time management skills
• A minimum of 5 years experience in roofing, construction or industrial sales
• Flexibility to travel locally as and when needed
• A powerful drive for sales
