Read the latest magazine Industry News Roof Trusses Timber Truss Roofing Company Plans £1.8m Production Capacity Expansion 26 January 2023 MANUFACTURER OF trusses and joists in the UK, Engineered Timber Solutions Ltd, is planning a £1.8m expansion of its production capacity. The investment will double the business’s truss and metal-web production capacity to meet the growing demand for truss roofing and metal-web components. Through the expansion, the company will achieve more efficient manufacturing processes, improve quality control standards and better customer service. Engineered Timber Solutions Ltd believes that it will have the most efficient truss and joist factory in the UK. The initiative will significantly cut lead times, making the business more competitive. Family owners, the Sankeys and Carvers, say they are committed to the company’s long-term success and growth. Truss Roofing Company Expansion To lead the company through the expansion, Jill Sankey will join as MD, and George Carver will join as Sales Manager. Both have substantial management and sales experience. The founders, Phil Sankey, Henry Carver, and Neil Kendrick, will remain non-executive directors. Phil Sankey said, “Engineered Timber Solutions Ltd has been designing and manufacturing quality roof trusses and floor joists in England and Wales since 2003. Now a well-established name in the industry, we have developed a broad customer base ranging from homeowners to national house builders. Our business is firmly established in Shropshire and is dedicated to delivering the highest quality products for our customers across the UK. With our £1.8m production capacity expansion, we will be able to serve them better.” Engineered Timber Solutions Ltd designs and manufactures roof trusses and joists and is a member of the Trussed Rafter Association. The company is certified under the PEFC Chain of Custody scheme.
