Marley Appoints Kevin Taylor in Training and Technical Role

MARLEY, the roof tile manufacturer, has appointed Kevin Taylor as Training and Technical Support Manager.

New Appointment

With a wealth of experience in roofing and construction, Kevin gained his early expertise as a roofer before entering further education. He was a lecturer at Bolton College and Leeds College of Building, where his apprentices gained success in the national SkillBuild competition on several occassions.

Kevin subsequently worked at the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC), heading up technical and training. He drove change to reduce roof failures as well as working on the extensive BS5534 revision.

Additionally, Kevin wrote the roofing bible: Roof Tiling and Slating – A Practical Guide, which is widely used in UK training centres and colleges.

Kevin Taylor said, “I’m looking forward to working with Marley, it will be great to be part of a team again. Having worked in so many different areas of the industry over 40 years, I appreciate what’s needed to achieve a good quality roof – and that’s everyone working together.”
