Andrew, Will and James Emerton are marking the 100th anniversary of Emerton Roofing in business by taking the journey to raise money for three special children’s charities. The big-hearted brothers are the fourth generation of the Nantwich-based Cheshire roofing contractors, and started the incredible journey on Good Friday 18th April 2025. Called Little Bus Big Ride, the roofers will reach a top speed of 18 miles per hour and arrive in John O’Groats on Friday 25th April. Will Emerton said: “This year our family roofing business is celebrating our 100th anniversary. Me and my two brothers are the fourth generation of our company and we are very proud of our family’s roofing heritage. To mark the occasion, we want to give something back to those less fortunate than us. “To this end, today we are starting a once-in-a-lifetime fundraising adventure, driving our 1948 miniature bus 1000 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats. At an average speed of around 12 miles an hour, this will take 8 days in our magical little vehicle. We are doing so to raise much needed funds for three very special charities.” You can follow the brothers’ progress live and also follow the trip on facebook and instagram.
