The company says this investment in advanced production technology is designed to enhance performance across the production process, improving capacity, consistency, and overall efficiency, and will help the business to support its customers across a wide range of construction and engineering projects. Strengthened Manufacturing Capability The newly installed robotic cell is already transforming the production of smaller sections. Processes that have traditionally required two skilled operators can now be carried out more efficiently, enabling team members to focus on higher-value work such as larger projects, more complex requirements and ongoing product development. Alongside this, the addition of a CNC machine marks a significant upgrade to the wider production line. Supporting the manufacture of both large sections and smaller components, the machine will be utilised in nearly every order processed by the company. This will help to provide enhanced precision, repeatability and consistency, ensuring reliable, high-quality output at scale. Darren Hall, Managing Director of Steadmans, commented: “We’re investing in our people, we’re investing in the future, and we’re investing in the region. This is about strengthening what we can deliver for our customers while continuing to support skilled manufacturing in Cumbria.” >> Read more of the latest roofing news Previous article Introducing STEICO Wood Fibre Insulation from KingspanNext article Have Your Say: CSCS Consulting on Provisional Card Renewal Share article You may also like View all News Awards and Events +4 1 May 2026 June Dates Confirmed for 2026 MCRMA Technical Conference Cladding +2 23 April 2026 Adjudications and Insolvencies Blamed for FK Facades Collapse Cladding +6 23 April 2026 EJOT CROSSFIX Provides Ready-Made Fixing Solution for Timber-Clad Overhanging Gable Check out the latest issue 123 March-April 2026 View Now Past Issues Get in Touch Sign Up to Roofing Today Stay up to date with all of the latest news from Roofing Today by signing up to our weekly Bulletins… Sign Up Today Get in Touch
