SPV Apprenticeships

SPV first launched its in-house training facility in 2019. In partnership with Juniper Training, the Centre provides a 24-week Introduction to Construction course with specialist roofing and cladding work experience. From there, roofing students are able to progress to roofing and cladding specific apprenticeships.

The company have worked over several years to develop both pre-apprentice and apprenticeship provision and the model has inspired the development of other company based training across England.

Kate Whatley, Manager SPV Special Projects, said: “Our apprenticeships are at the heart of what we do at SPV and they add so much to our business. So much so that we developed a training pathway and provision to recruit and support current and future apprentices. It was fantastic to network with like-minded people sharing best practice and ideas. We had the opportunity to talk to government about challenges and opportunities we have in our industry.”
