Read the latest magazine Apprenticeships Awards and Events Skills & Training SPV Officially Launches New Training Hub 9 July 2019 SPV GROUP, in conjunction with Juniper Training, recently hosted an Official Launch Event for a newly formed Training Hub. The hub aims to provide young people, aged 16-18, with everything they need to know to be Construction site ready to progress into employment or an apprenticeship Training will be delivered from the Walsall bases of SPV and Juniper Training. Students will work towards gaining a CSCS Card, Level 1 Introduction to Construction, Manual Handling and Asbestos Awareness. Where needed, students can also do GCSE retakes and/or English and maths Functional Skills qualifications to develop their wider skills. New Training Hub Officially opening to students in August 2019, the event welcomed a range of guests including; new students, assessors, careers advisors and school representatives. Industry figures from the NFRC and training bodies including the CITB, Midland Roof Training Group, Yorkshire Roof Training Group also attended. Guest speaker, Joe Egan, entertained guests along with a number of SPV Apprentices, Juniper Business Development Manager Samantha Broomhall, SPV Commercial Director Kate Whatley and Juniper Chairman Richard Holt as well as SPV MD Howard Evans. Walsall FC Manager, Darrell Clarke, officially opened the facility during a short ribbon cutting ceremony.For more information visit the SPV Group website.
