SIGA Natural Slate is First to Pass CCPI Assessment

SIGA NATURAL SLATE, has become the first natural roofing slate to pass the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) assessment.

It confirms that all product information for SIGA natural slate, available exclusively through SIG Roofing, meets the CCPI’s acid tests of being clear, accurate, accessible, up-to-date, and unambiguous

The CCPI is a vital tool for anyone involved in purchasing building materials. It was developed to enhance product information accuracy, enabling all stakeholders in the supply chain to make better-informed decisions.

Initiated in response to the Grenfell Tower report, the CCPI is part of a broader industry effort to raise standards in construction by ensuring all product information aligns with its ethos. Ultimately, it aims to encourage clients, specifiers, and users to demand compliance with the CCPI for all construction products.

The CCPI offers three codes:

• For Manufacturers – Focuses on the responsibility for accurate product information and the assessment of product claims.
• For Supporters – Includes clients, major housebuilders, and Tier One contractors advocating CCPI adoption through their supply chains.
• For Merchants and Distributors – Emphasises processes and systems for creating, reproducing, and accurately representing product information.

SIGA Natural Slate CCPI

SIGA has successfully passed the CCPI assessment for its natural slate products. Meanwhile, SIG Roofing achieved the Merchant and Distribution version of the CCPI code earlier this year.
