The installation of brand new state-of-the-art batten production lines has increased capacity for RSG Yellow® BS Battens while enhancing efficiency through advanced automation and precision engineering. Compliant Roofing Battens The upgraded RSG Timber facilities deliver improved accuracy in sizing and grading, with timber kiln dried and pre-graded prior to machining, followed by a final quality check on the finished product. CCPI Assessed All RSG Yellow® BS battens are correctly graded and compliant with BS 5534, supported by independent third-party accreditation through CATG/BMC, and are CCPI assessed – placing RSG Yellow BS Battens among a select few in the UK to achieve this robust standard. A fully computerised packaging system ensures traceability and consistency, with uniform, tightly banded packs ready for treatment. Battens are pressure treated in line with BS 8417 and meet Wood Protection Association Benchmark industry standards. The new high-tech roofing batten grading line at RSG Timber.
