Roofing Merchant Welcomes New Manager to Support Solar Training

SIG Roofing has appointed Daisy Gee as Office Administration Manager to serve as a central point of contact for the business’s solar and flat roofing training.

Based at SIG Roofing’s Cambridgeshire Head Office, Daisy’s focus is to support the merchant’s growing solar training schedule and embed a new system that makes it easier for roofing contractors to sign up for a range of training modules offered by SIG.

Daisy is working with the company’s eight solar business development managers, supporting the 100+ branches that stock and sell solar solutions, and alongside Adam French, SIG Roofing’s Solar Training & Technical Support Specialist.

Supporting Solar Training

SIG Roofing has supplied solar products to the market for over ten years. As demand for solar accelerates, the company says it has strengthened its specialist solar team to drive and support that growth. These specialists not only provide ‘introduction to solar’ training for contractors but also aim to deliver a range of in-depth sessions tailored to the installers’ specific needs.

Each branch now supplies solar solutions for residential and commercial properties on both pitched and flat roofs. This includes in-roof and on-roof solar mounting systems, inverters, fixings, and associated accessories from established and proven manufacturers such as GSE, Marley, and Sandtoft.

The merchant offers a range of branded solutions and provides product advice to supply the best solution for the project. It also offers a free solar design service to assist its contractor customers with a plan of the roof layout and guidance on how the systems best connect. Additionally, the company is currently rolling out a training programme to ensure each branch has a solar champion, all designed to support the roofing contractor in offering a solar solution.

For more information about the available training at SIG Roofing, contact Daisy at training@sigroofing.co.uk.

Daisy will also soon be working on a flat roof training programme for 2027, covering the SIG Roofing own-brand FIX-R range of roofing products.
