Cambridge-based Apex Roofing has been shortlisted in the Women in Construction category of the 2018 London Construction Awards. The awards, judged by a panel of 12 of the UK’s most senior construction figures, recognise achievements, developments and innovation within London’s booming construction industry. Paving the Way for Women Director of Apex Roofing, Jackie Biswell, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Women in Construction category in the 2018 London Construction Awards. “We are immensely proud of this recognition because as a company led by women we understand how hard it can be to enter an industry that is dominated by men. With the skills shortage and uncertainty of Brexit, making sure that we are inclusive and diverse within our work and who we employee will put us in better stead for the future.” The winners will be announced on 23rd October at a gala dinner at the Royal Garden Hotel, London where more than 500 of the industry elite will join together for a night of entertainment, celebration and networking. >> Read more of the latest roofing news Previous article CITB Head Office Plans Branded Deeply Flawed by UniteNext article Roof Surveying Firm Fined for Safety Failings Share article You may also like View all News Featured Companies +3 6 August 2026 Freefoam Building Products’ EPDs Enable Transparent Product Specification Featured Companies +3 16 July 2026 Flexible Mix of Classroom and Onsite Training for Flex-R Customers Featured Companies +4 9 July 2026 Fabric-First Roof Retrofit Supports College’s Decarbonisation Strategy Cladding +3 25 June 2026 MCRMA Members Help Maximise Metal Building Envelope Quality Sign Up to Roofing Today Stay up to date with all of the latest news from Roofing Today by signing up to our weekly Bulletins… Sign Up Today Get in Touch Check out the latest issue 125 July-August 2026 View Now Past Issues Get in Touch
