NorDan UK Expands into Façades with RED Systems Acquisition

Specialists in façade systems, curtain walling and architectural glazing, RED Systems, has been acquired by NorDan UK, the Norwegian parent company-owned window and door manufacturer headquartered in Scotland.

The acquisition will strengthen NorDan’s UK early-stage design, compliance and building delivery capabilities and help it expand its provision of integrated building envelope solutions.

NorDan UK says the acquisition helps meet the need for more coordinated façade and building envelope solutions as UK construction adapts to evolving regulatory requirements and expectations around compliance, accountability and performance.

By combining NorDan’s production of timber and aluminium-clad windows and doors with RED Systems’ façade capability, the business will offer a more integrated approach to building envelope design and delivery. This aims to support earlier project involvement, improve coordination across systems and reduce risk at key interface points.

Aligning Values

RED Systems delivers aluminium architectural glazing and SFS commercial projects with a design, supply and installation service. RED Systems has completed over 500 projects in its 22-year history across the UK on large residential, commercial, education and leisure sectors.

The business is known for its early-stage involvement in projects and its ability to support clients through detailed design coordination and technical delivery, including multiple Building Safety Act gateway submissions.
