The installation of this full-span roof truss means the stadium’s north stand is now complete. Work on the south stand roof structure will now begin, where support trestles are being installed in preparation for the remaining sections of the south stand trusses to be lifted and bolted into place. West Stand Update Steelwork will also soon begin in the upper tier of the west stand in order for the west roof to be installed and link to the north and south roofs. The final concrete pour on level four of the west stand and the western wharf has also been completed and supply chain partners Severfield are now set to begin prefabricating the west stand roof barrel sections. Additionally, in both the ground floor and level one, the head track and rainwater pipes are currently being installed. External Works Outside, big changes can also be seen taking place as the scaffolding is stripped back from the roof areas of the stadium’s Hydraulic Tower and adjoining Engine House, revealing the chimney’s new zinc roof. New roof slates will also be installed on the angled roof, and the old station master’s office is currently being rebuilt by bricklayers. Everton says construction partner Laing O’Rourke remains on track to complete the roof by Easter.
