Milestone Move for Wensley Roofing to Team Valley

Wensley Roofing has moved into its new, bigger headquarters on Team Valley, Gateshead.

After 35 years in Chester-le-Street premises, the transfer was necessary following continued growth and demand for the business’s services. The move to a larger, more modern space will support the next stage of the company’s development, it says.

Since being established in 1987, Wensley Roofing has grown from a small, dedicated team into one of the North East’s larger roofing specialists.

The new facility on Team Valley provides more space for operations, including a dedicated storage unit for PV installation materials and a new section for leadwork. The additional capacity allows for an expansion of Wensley Roofing’s services and operations, as well as creating a better working environment for the firm’s team.

Milestone Move

Managing Director Steven Luke, said, “This is a huge milestone for Wensley Roofing. We’ve seen incredible growth in recent years, and the move reflects both the scale of our ambitions and our commitment to continuous improvement. The new site gives us the flexibility to deliver even more for our clients, invest in our people, and build on the strong foundations we’ve laid since 1987.”

The Team Valley location also offers improved accessibility and transport links, making it easier for both staff and clients to reach.

In a nod to its history, the company has preserved its original Wensley Roofing signage and logo from Chester-le-Street, “as a reminder of our roots”.

A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official opening, with company founder, Keith Soulsby .
