MCS’s third phase of development followed analysis of insights from Dashboard users on what improvements and new features could be added to support their work and help paint a more accurate picture of small-scale renewables uptake in the UK. This forms part of MCS’s commitment to sharing the latest insights and providing a transparent snapshot of the renewables industry to support growth and identify trends – something that is becoming more crucial as renewables continue to break records in the UK, with the first six months of 2026 the best yet. Third Phase Improvements to the MCS Data Dashboard include: Every user will be able to save their view, meaning it will load to your saved settings whenever you open the tool. Unique ID and timestamps are added to downloads from the Dashboard. Total installers by technology are added to the ‘Technology Type Breakdown’ graphic. A more dynamic ‘Climbers’ table, including an adjustable drop-down menu that shows the top 10 either by volume, percentage growth, change in uptake, or growers in the selected time frame. A ‘Capacity’ graph added to the ‘Installation Cost’ section, showing total installed capacity. ‘Most’ and ‘Fewest’ tables showing installations by area to show installation volumes as well as uptake. The MCS Data Dashboard draws data from the MCS Installations Database (MID) to provide near-real-time visuals on the uptake of small-scale renewable technologies, like solar panels and heat pumps, in homes and small businesses across the UK. It allows users to filter data by year, month, technology, property type, and location, providing a snapshot of the renewables landscape in the UK to inform government policy, support stakeholder decision-making, and keep the public informed. >> Read more about MCS in the news Previous article Family Scaffolding Firm Enters AdministrationNext article Breathe Freely Roofer Fact Sheet Share article You may also like View all News Industry News +1 24 August 2026 Family Scaffolding Firm Enters Administration Industry News +2 24 August 2026 New Challenge Launched to Store Clean Renewable Energy for Longer Awards and Events +2 21 August 2026 First Annual Meistari Roofcraft Awards Winners Announced Check out the latest issue 125 July-August 2026 View Now Past Issues Get in Touch Sign Up to Roofing Today Stay up to date with all of the latest news from Roofing Today by signing up to our weekly Bulletins… Sign Up Today Get in Touch
