Family Scaffolding Firm Enters Administration

Salisbury-based family firm, Blencowe Scaffolding Limited entered administration on 12 August 2026 and has appointed BTG Begbies Traynor as administrators.

The company, which reported 55 employees in its last accounts, says it has plant and machinery assets valued at £1.7m.

The company has three depots in Salisbury, Basingstoke and Eastleigh serving southern England and delivered commercial, domestic and heritage scaffolding services.

Blencowe Scaffolding showed just £1,263 cash at the bank and in hand in its latest available accounts. In the year ended June 30, 2025, its net assets fell to approximately £2.2 million from £2.6 million. Current liabilities increased to about £647,000 from £495,000, while current assets declined to £604,000 from £849,000.

Blencowe has one outstanding registered charge to IGF Business Credit Limited, assumed in 2020. Another liability to National Westminster Bank plc, which included fixed and floating security over the company’s undertaking and assets, was satisfied on 7 July this year before the administration.

The company has changed its board before the administration, with Patrick Blencowe remaining as a director, while David Blencowe and Hillary Blencowe resigned in the previous 12 months.
