The acquisition expands Lifestiles specialist roofing offering, building on the business’s range of natural roofing products. New Acquisition Based near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, Primera Slate is an importer and supplier of natural Spanish slate. Working with Spanish quarries, the company supplies roofing slate, sills, flooring and other slate products to customers across the construction industry. The acquisition also brings together two businesses with a similar approach to sourcing specialist natural materials. Primera’s established quarry relationships and knowledge of Spanish slate complement Lifestiles’ existing experience supplying specialist roofing products to private clients, trade customers and retail merchants across the UK. Mike Chillery, Lifestiles Co-Owner, explained: “This is another important step for Lifestiles. We’ve always been focused on finding the right products, working with trusted suppliers and giving customers the level of service and knowledge they expect from us. “Primera fits very naturally with that approach. We’re bringing together complementary experience and expertise, while keeping the qualities and relationships that have made Primera successful. We’re excited about what this means for the future and for our customers.” Combined Expertise For Steve Harding, founder of Primera Slate, continuity for existing customers remains an important part of the transition. Steve will remain involved with Primera Slate, helping to ensure the relationships and service customers know continue as the business moves forward with Lifestiles. Steve commented, “I’m proud of the reputation Primera has built over the years, so finding the right home for the business was incredibly important to me. I’m confident Lifestiles will build on what we’ve created while taking Primera forward.” Dave Osborn, Co-Owner of Lifestiles, added: “Primera has built a fantastic reputation and there is a real depth of knowledge behind the business. Steve has built strong relationships with suppliers and customers over many years, and that knowledge is hugely valuable. We’re looking forward to carrying that forward while continuing to develop the wider Lifestiles offering.” Expanded Offering The acquisition builds on Lifestiles’ continued development since its launch as a specialist supplier of handmade clay roof tiles. The business has grown to serve customers across the UK, while Dave and Mike remain closely involved in sourcing products and materials that combine traditional character with the performance standards required today. The company says the acquisition is a “positive next step” for both businesses, combining established expertise while creating a stronger platform for continued growth. >> Read about more acquisitions in the news Previous article NFRC Welcomes Action on Rogue Traders but Reforms Must Work for Reputable ContractorsNext article TrustMark Collaboration to Help Deliver Greater Protection for Businesses Share article You may also like View all News Industry News +1 1 September 2026 TrustMark Collaboration to Help Deliver Greater Protection for Businesses Industry News +1 28 August 2026 NFRC Welcomes Action on Rogue Traders but Reforms Must Work for Reputable Contractors Heritage Roofing +2 28 August 2026 Kington Market Hall Roof Gets Go Ahead for Replacement Check out the latest issue 125 July-August 2026 View Now Past Issues Get in Touch Sign Up to Roofing Today Stay up to date with all of the latest news from Roofing Today by signing up to our weekly Bulletins… Sign Up Today Get in Touch
