Read the latest magazine Access Industry News Ladders Ladder Manufacturer Invests in Extended Production 1 September 2022 ACCESS EQUIPMENT manufacturer, WernerCo, is increasing manufacturing of extension ladders at its UK facility in Maldon, Essex. The company is forecasting the production of thousands of extra units annually, and this will see additional jobs created. Jan Zmrzlik, General Manager Operations at WernerCo, said: “There is such a great wealth of expertise in the country and we are excited to be harnessing that. This is just the first phase of new ladder production and we are looking at bringing additional ladder manufacturing to the UK to take advantage of these skills. WernerCo has production facilities all over the world, so it’s been great to see the investment in manufacturing in our UK business.” WernerCo’s Maldon facility specialises in aluminium welding, with an annual production of around 500,000 units, including products such as the Mobile Scaffold Towers and Podiums. It also has a dedicated Service Centre for Aluminium Scaffolding.
