Finalists Gearing Up for 2024 SkillBuild National Final

THE TOP EIGHT roof slating and tiling apprentices in the country are gearing up for the SkillBuild National Final 2024 later this month.

The eight talented competitors will battle it out at the Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes on 20- 21 November 2024.

The competition brings together the top UK apprentices across 10 construction trades who have excelled in the Go Construct SkillBuild Regional Qualifiers. The heats took place at the apprentices’ colleges around the nation earlier this year.

Competing live from 9am on both days, the roofing apprentices will complete rig designs specified by expert judges from the NFRC technical team – Bob Coutts, Andy Rowlands and Matt Timby.

The judges will be rigorously observing the apprentices’ knowledge, skills, and abilities. They will be looking to see how the young roofers work under pressure, adhere to health and safety protocols and show off their roofing skills.

Finalist, Joseph Gallagher will have only recently returned from Innsbruck, Austria where he will have represented GB, together with teammate Tyler Norris, at the IFD World Championship for Young Roofers on 13-15 November. Joe will have just a few days to rest before he competes again in Milton Keynes on the 20-21 November.

Tickets for the SkillBuild National Final 2024 (20-21 November 2024) are available here. The competition will be open to visitors on Wednesday 20 November 2024 and Thursday 21 November 2024 from 9am.
