Eco Construction Company Announces Milestone Charity Partnership

ECO CONSTRUCTION company, Eco Green Group, has pledged to donate £10,000 over the next year to The Lily Foundation to support the charity’s ongoing efforts in helping families affected by mitochondrial disease.

The charity was created by Liz Curtis MBE in 2007, after she lost her daughter to mitochondrial disease at eight months old.

The financial support will help fund vital research, raise awareness and provide emotional and practical support to families.

Going forward, The Lily Foundation logo will be displayed on all Eco Green Group’s high-vis jackets to raise visibility for the cause and spark more conversations across sites, suppliers and the wider construction community.

The company recently welcomed the charity to one of their landmark projects, Millennium Bridge House, to unveil the new high-vis jackets, which feature the charity’s logo.

Raising Awareness

Mitochondrial diseases are a rare condition, affecting an estimated one in every 4,300 to 5,000 people, highlighting the need for greater awareness and research.

The funding will be essential to improving early diagnosis, as the disease can often be misdiagnosed or mistaken for other conditions.
