Construction Charity Issues Coronavirus Call for Help

CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY charity CRASH has appealed for help as it looks to support those affected by the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic.

A number of the charity’s usual fundraising events have been or face being cancelled due to the pandemic.

Chief Executive of CRASH, Francesca Roberts, said: “The coronavirus pandemic is affecting each one of us, as well as our families, our communities and professionally through our businesses.

“The current health crisis will also disproportionately impact the many vulnerable people CRASH charity is here to help. Adults and children who are terminally ill and in need of end of life care, and those who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, will be needing even more support at this time.

“As the construction industry’s charity, we rely entirely on the generosity and goodwill of the industry to continue to create places that care for vulnerable people, and I sincerely ask you to continue to help us.

“Our fundraising events provide a vital source of income for CRASH charity. While we will do our very best to continue to host fundraising events and challenges over the coming months, some will inevitably have to be cancelled or postponed.”
