Commercial Roofing Specialist Acquired by Private Equity Firm

Private equity firm TrueNorth Capital Group has acquired industrial and commercial roofing specialist Total Roof Control (Midlands) Ltd to strengthen its External Envelope & Facades division.

The Group says the acquisition represents “another significant step in our plans to bring together high-quality specialist construction businesses under long-term ownership”.

Commercial Roofing Acquisition

A member of Constructionline and the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC), Total Roof Control (TRC) provides industrial and commercial roofing maintenance, refurbishment and repair services across the UK, with expertise spanning sheeting and cladding, gutter systems, liquid-applied weatherproofing, single ply roofing, felt systems and general roof maintenance.

The acquisition will provide TRC with access to the wider resources of TrueNorth while maintaining the specialist capabilities and customer-focused approach on which its reputation has been built.

The acquisition comes as TrueNorth accelerates plans to create one of the UK’s most respected construction platforms through strategic acquisitions, operational investment and the development of industry talent.

Backed by family office capital and founded by construction entrepreneur and acquisition specialist Bradley Lay, TrueNorth is building a group across three core verticals: MEP, External Envelope & Facades, and Manufacturing & Offsite Construction.

The Group says it is targeting “profitable, well-managed specialist businesses with strong leadership teams, established customer relationships and significant opportunities for further growth”.

Its portfolio includes KNG Building Services, a £10 million turnover MEP contracting business.
