Builders’ Merchants Announce Charity Partnership with Children’s Hospice

BUILDERS’ MERCHANTS RGB Building Supplies and CRS Building Supplies have announced a new three-year partnership with Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) as their chosen corporate charity.

This commitment will see both companies, which operate across the South West, focusing their fundraising efforts to support the vital work of the hospice charity.

RGB Building Supplies previously worked with the charity a few years ago, establishing a successful relationship that generated significant funds for the hospice.

“We are so pleased to be partnering with Children’s Hospice South West again for the next three years,” said Danny Spokes, Managing Director of RGB and CRS Building Supplies.

“The work they do at their three hospices is truly essential, providing a sanctuary and support for families facing unimaginable challenges. Having supported them previously, we know how dedicated their team is, and we look forward to bringing that same passion and enthusiasm to our fundraising activities, to help them continue their wonderful work.”

Children’s Hospice South West

CHSW provides specialist palliative care, respite for the whole family, a sibling support service, and emergency care at their three hospices: Little Bridge House in North Devon, Charlton Farm in North Somerset, and Little Harbour in mid-Cornwall.

Hayley Wallbank, Regional Partnerships Fundraiser at Children’s Hospice South West, expressed their gratitude for the new commitment: “The support from businesses like RGB and CRS is absolutely crucial to allow us to continue offering our services free of charge to families across the region. We are incredibly thankful for their renewed support and their commitment to fundraise for us over the next three years. Every pound raised will help us make the most of short and precious lives.”

Fundraising Initiatives

RGB and CRS hosted their first fundraising event at their South West Conference on 30 September 2025, raising over £2,300 through donations and a silent auction, with items donated by suppliers and manufacturers who attended the event.

Both businesses plan to launch a series of joint fundraising initiatives across their branches in the coming months, encouraging staff, customers, and the local community to get involved in supporting Children’s Hospice South West.
