The GSE installer training programme is designed to equip installers with the practical knowledge and confidence to install GSE Integration in-roof systems correctly, safely and in line with its installation requirements. It combines online learning with hands-on practical training, covering system design principles, installation steps, common mistakes, best practice and the key requirements for achieving a compliant installation. Overall, it aims to give both installers and customers greater confidence that the system has been installed correctly. Since the beginning of 2026, this training has become an important part of the GSE warranty requirements. Under its Terms & Conditions, installers must now complete the required GSE Integration training pathway and install the system fully in accordance with the GSE installation instructions to qualify for the full 10-year product warranty. Solar Training Rigs GSE currently has 8 training rigs across the UK, with 6 more in the pipeline. All new rigs and refurbishments will now use the SRT GOLD® 25x50mm graded timber roofing batten, supplied via the local SIG Roofing branch. SIG Roofing is a solar partner of GSE, supplying its products throughout its branch network, and is keen to support the continued growth of the training centres to further help roofers professionally transition to offering a solar solution. Ricky Towner, UK Training & Support Manager – GSE Intégration, commented: “It’s important that we promote the use of a good quality, graded roofing batten in our training. Battening is a fundamental part of the installation, and both the straightness of the battens and the accuracy of the layout directly affect how well our systems fit together on the roof. “We reinforce in training that getting the preparation right makes the whole installation easier, more consistent, and ultimately delivers a better result. Using a quality graded batten is a big part of that, because installers need a product that is straight, reliable, and suitable for the application. SRT GOLD® batten ticks all the boxes for us. “SRT GOLD® fully complies with the relevant requirements of BS 5534:2014+A2:2018 and BS 8417:2011+A1:2014, is WPA approved for Use Class 2, CCPI assessed, and now supported by a published EPD. It is therefore a really good fit with the standards we are trying to promote through GSE Intégration training. “We’re delighted that SRT GOLD® will be supplying the roofing battens for our future training requirements, and it means the materials installers are using during training are representative of the quality we want to see being used on site.” To book onto a GSE Integration trained installer session, complete the EOI form. >> Read more about SR Timber in the news Previous article Have You Got Sight of Your Subcontractors?Next article Occupational Health Risk Management in Construction Share article You may also like View all News Industry News +1 19 October 2026 Have You Got Sight of Your Subcontractors?
