£150m Backed Hestia Launches Homes England and Vistry Joint Venture

A NEW LARGE housing sites investment joint venture, named Hestia, is backed by a combined £150 million of capital investment by Homes England and Vistry Group plc.

Hestia will focus on the delivery of high-quality, mixed-tenure communities at pace and scale. It will leverage the investments made by both parties to accelerate the development of large sites across England.

Hestia’s investment strategy will focus on identifying sites to bring forward infrastructure and manage construction of sites between 400 and 3,000 homes.

This investment follows the December 2024 announcement of the £700 million extension to the Home Building Fund and it comes ahead of the launch of the £16 billion National Housing Bank, which is envisaged will unlock a further £59 billion of private sector investment in UK housing.

Vistry, selling properties under brands: Bovis Homes, Linden Homes, and Countryside Homes is planning to sell plots on to SME builders.

Stephen Teagle, Chief Executive at Vistry said: “Our intention is also to pilot selling a proportion of de-risked land parcels to small and medium-sized housebuilders helping to increase the availability of land and stimulate growth among smaller developers.”
