Scaffolding Association Joins Build UK

THE SCAFFOLDING ASSOCIATION has joined Build UK as a Trade Association Member to champion positive change and greater recognition for the scaffold industry.

Build UK brings together all construction sectors, contractors, clients, and specialist trade associations to address the sector’s biggest challenges. As a member, the Scaffolding Association will act as a voice for the scaffold industry at the heart of these national discussions.

The Scaffolding Association and Build UK share a common goal: to raise standards, improve outcomes, and ensure that specialist contractors are supported and valued across the entire supply chain. From promoting safer working environments and supporting competency and training, to improving payment practices and procurement, both organisations say they are focused on delivering ‘meaningful, long-term progress’.

By joining Build UK, the association can influence strategic decisions that impact its members, such as regulatory reform, sustainability, and workforce development.

It will also support encouraging members to use the Common Assessment Standard for pre-qualification.

The Scaffolding Association expects its membership to help promote the professionalism and capability of its members to major clients and contractors.

Additionally, it hopes to drive improvements in commercial practices, including fair payment terms and greater visibility for specialist contractors.
