James Butler Returns to Vivalda Group as Head of Specification

JAMES BUTLER has returned to Vivalda Group as its Specification Sales and Marketing Director.

He rejoins Vivalda Group from European glass reinforced concrete (GRC) cladding brand Rieder. Off the back of his senior role at Rieder, which spanned both Europe and North America, James brings vital product manufacturer insights to Vivalda. This experience enables him to realise the group’s ambition to drive aesthetics, quality and safety across the façade supply chain.

Commenting on his new role, James Butler said: “It’s great to be back at Vivalda Group, which is investing significantly in its specification capability. During my tenure at Rieder, I was privileged to work with architects and designers on some of the most iconic developments across the world, and I’m really looking forward to bringing that experience to the team at Vivalda.”

James previously spent 15 years at Vivalda Group, accelerating through the ranks to board level. He now leads a growing specification team of experienced advisers, who can support architects on correct façade specification. As part of his role, James also oversees new product development at Vivalda Group.

He added: “In the wake of the Building Safety Act, cladding has become a hugely dynamic area within the construction sector. While issues of safety rightly take precedence, we’re also keen to bring new conversations to the market on topics such as achieving the desired aesthetic whilst retaining buildability and sustainability on today’s tighter budgets. We’re also keen to explore the creative use of powder coatings and easy installation for contractors. It’s a potentially overwhelming set of considerations for designers, all of which can considered by our team, which is adept at providing a range of solutions.”

Vivalda Group is the largest distributor and manufacturer of cladding products in the UK and operates from ten locations across the UK and Ireland.
