CARDO GROUP, the building maintenance service provider, has entered an asset purchase agreement to acquire Breyer Group’s roofing division.

The company has also separately taken over Breyer’s contract with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames for responsive repairs and maintenance – ensuring that vital services continue uninterrupted.

Breyer Group announced it had appointed administrators, RSM UK Recruiting Advisory LLP on 3 April after having “experienced a number of financial difficulties”.

Almost 100 jobs are said to have been saved by the sale, offering “much-needed stability at a time of uncertainty”.

Glen Carter, Partner at RSM UK and Joint Administrator, said: “We are pleased to have secured a sale of Breyer Group’s roofing division and in a separate transaction, the continuity of the company’s contract with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames to Cardo. The transactions have preserved a significant number of jobs and allows services to certain clients to be maintained.”
