WestWood Trainer Crowned at LRWA Awards 2023

TECHNICAL FIELD MANAGER, Graham Hindes from WestWood Liquid Technologies, has been named ‘Trainer of the Year’ at the 2023 LRWA Awards & Gala which took place on 22 March 2023.

With more than 20 years’ roofing experience, Graham was chosen for his passionate and in-depth approach, which has maximised the learning experience for students.

Graham joined WestWood in 2019 as a field technician, working his way up to technical field manager in 2021. Prior to this, Graham was a director at Hindes & Stewart Roofing Ltd, after working on the tools for more than 15 years.

Now, Graham leads contractor training sessions for WestWood Liquid Technologies at its HQ in Poole and training centre in Gateshead.

The judges commented on how Graham’s extensive technical knowledge provides candidates with thorough and action-packed training that spans the entire liquid roofing and waterproofing process.

Representatives from the LRWA praised Graham’s years of dedication and his commitment to working closely with individuals to demonstrate products and installation processes in detail, making sure each person has a comprehensive understanding.

Trainer of the Year

Speaking of his award win, Graham said: “What an honour it is to be named Trainer of the Year. I was thrilled to have been shortlisted, but had no idea I would win!

“I am passionate about roof training and ensuring specialist contractors are fully informed and know not only how to install liquid waterproofing, but have the understanding and knowledge behind the chemistry of liquids while learning in a fun and interactive way.”

The LRWA Awards 2023 took place on 22 March 2023 at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, where more than 300 people attended.
