A BUILDERS’ MERCHANT has issued its own salute to Euros 2020 England manager Gareth Southgate – by naming one of its branches after him!

Selco Builders Warehouse will rename its New Southgate branch the Gareth Southgate branch for the biggest weekend in English football in more than 50 years.

Southgate has become a national treasure by guiding England to the Euros 2020 final against Italy at Wembley on Sunday.

Now Selco has recognised that achievement by naming the branch, based on Brunswick Way and which opened in 2015, after the England manager for the next 48 hours.

Carine Jessamine, marketing director of Selco Builders Warehouse, said: “It’s been an incredible few weeks for English football and we are delighted to pay our own tribute to the man behind the success.

“Gareth Southgate has brought the country together and helped create plenty of moments of joy and we are delighted to give some of our customers the chance to shop in his branch this weekend.

“We haven’t named any of our branches after any other famous people previously so it’s a sign of the achievement that Gareth is the first person to receive this honour.

“Hopefully we can play a very small part in helping inspire the team to a very famous win this weekend.”

It’s Coming Home

As well as changing the name on the website, Selco’s Gareth Southgate branch will have tributes to the England boss throughout the store this weekend.
