James Hardie Service Excellence Award

A Tennessee-based roofing contractor was recently crowned a winner of the James Hardie Service Excellence Award.

Smith Roofing & Exteriors was one of only 30 siding installation contractors across the entire United States – and the only contractor from Tennessee – to earn the recognition in 2025.

James Hardie Service Excellence Award

The James Hardie Service Excellence Award represents the highest pinnacle of achievement within the James Hardie ALLIANCE program. To be considered, contractors must maintain strict “Good Standing” status, providing exhaustive documentation of installation quality and business ethics. Furthermore, recipients must be dedicated exclusively to the James Hardie brand, ensuring they are not “website tier” contractors for competing hard-siding products.

The selection process is based on transparent, third-party data via GuildQuality and Google Reviews. Smith Roofing & Exteriors met and exceeded the following 2025 benchmarks:

  • Elite Customer Satisfaction: Maintained a 95% or higher “Likely to Recommend” rating via GuildQuality.
  • Review Excellence: Achieved a Google rating of 4.9 or higher, specifically from 2025 customer reviews.
  • Consistent Volume: Logged a minimum of 20 high-standard jobs in 2025.

Milestone Achievement

Chris Smith, Owner of Smith Roofing & Exteriors, said: “Earning a spot among the top 30 companies in the nation is an incredible milestone, but being the only company in Tennessee to bring this award home is what makes it special.

“Our ‘Integrity First, Quality Always’ mantra isn’t just a slogan; it’s the standard that allowed us to meet these rigorous data-driven benchmarks. This award belongs to our customers who took the time to share their experiences.”
