The 2025 CUPA PIZARRAS Best of the Best competition saw US roofing contractor The Durable Slate Company top the International entries before France’s Duhamel Couverture was crowned the ultimate global champion.

To enter, CUPA PIZARRAS asked roofers from around the world to send in application videos showcasing their best work on a completed project or one still in progress. Entries were then sorted into regional groups with a winner for each group selected by readers of the CUPA PIZARRAS blog.

This year, the entries to the International group were Teto Horn, Wasi, Mr. Shingle, and The Durable Slate Company.

Following the public vote, The Durable Slate Company was crowned the International group winner.

A spokesperson from CUPA PIZARRAS said: “We would like to thank the judges once again for their commitment and continued collaboration. Our thanks also go to the five finalists and to the 35 companies that took part in this year’s edition. Because beyond being a competition, the Best of the Best is, above all, a way to recognize the wonderful craft of the natural slate roofer and the value of work carried out to the highest standards.

“We now look forward to welcoming Duhamel Couverture to our quarries, where they will have the opportunity to discover first-hand the origin of our slate. And to all other participants, we look forward to seeing you again in next year’s Best of the Best!”
