Tender Opportunity for £950k Hereford College Roofing Works

HEREFORDSHIRE Council has issued a £950,000 tender invitation for flat roofing works to be carried out at Hereford College of Arts’ main College Road campus.

The work involves replacing ‘failing’ flat roofs with a new built-up bitumen felt roof covering, replacing existing rooflights and associated works, subject to listed building consent.

Once the tender process is complete, work is expected to start on 26 January 2026 for six months until 31 July.

Contractors have until 12:00pm on 5 December 2025 to express an interest. Tenders can be submitted here.

Speaking to the Hereford Times, Hereford College Principal and Chief Executive Abigail Appleton said, “The work will address issues with some of the flat roofs at our College Road Campus. We’re very pleased the work is being done to ensure teaching and learning can continue in areas affected.”
