This allows the business to promote the CCPI mark on the product. The third-party assessment confirms that all the product information provided by SR Timber on their graded BS5534 roofing batten complies with the CCPI clauses. The information covering PREMIUM GOLD is clear, accurate, accessible, up-to-date, and unambiguous, making it easier for purchasers to make an informed choice. “We are thrilled to be one of the first roofing batten suppliers to comply with this standard. I have always agreed with the ethos of the CCPI, and we committed to it some time ago,” said Shaun Revill, Trading Director of SR Timber. “We have worked diligently to provide evidence and information to support our adherence to the clauses. Our processes for managing product information were assessed, and we completed training for our staff and external suppliers. “We strongly support the Code and are delighted to have passed this extremely robust assessment, which gives our PREMIUM GOLD roofing batten recognition for providing trustworthy and accurate product information.” CCPI Compliant The CCPI allows buyers to compare similar products to determine which one will perform best for a specific application. The Code was developed through industry consultation initiated by the Construction Product Association (CPA) in direct response to Dame Judith Hackitt’s review after the Grenfell tragedy and the resulting Building Safety Act. It was created by a group of manufacturers who agreed to raise standards in construction and transition the industry to a point where all product information provided by a manufacturer, merchant, or distributor adheres to this ethos. Its ultimate goal is for clients, specifiers, and users to demand only products that comply with the CCPI. >> Read more about SR Timber in the news Previous article May Construction Output Boosted by Warmer WeatherNext article Young Roofers Tested for Team GB at International Competition Share article You may also like View all News Industry News +2 20 March 2026 RA Issues Revised Safety Guidance on Rooflight Covers Awards and Events +3 20 March 2026 The Great British Slate Off Returns for 2026 Green Roofs +3 20 March 2026 Swansea Joins Global Network of Biophilic Cities Featured Solutions +3 19 March 2026 Flush Fitting Rooflights by Clement Sign Up to Roofing Today Stay up to date with all of the latest news from Roofing Today by signing up to our weekly Bulletins… Sign Up Today Get in Touch Check out the latest issue 123 March-April 2026 View Now Past Issues Get in Touch
