It will be hosted by Chair of the SPRA Technical Committee, Nigel Blacklock, and feature guests Peter Caplehorn and Amanda Long. Key topics for discussion will be the Building Safety Act; Code for Construction Product Information; industry insurance; and building control. SPRA Industry Panel Nigel Blacklock Nigel Blacklock With technical expertise for both SPRA and as a director of Bauder, Nigel Blacklock, has 35 years of experience in the flat roofing industry. It has given Nigel a unique insight into both the UK and European markets. Having chaired the majority of key technical committees for flat roofing enables him to provide a well-rounded view of the current standards and their history. Peter Caplehorn Peter Caplehorn Peter Caplehorn, CEO at the Construction Products Association (CPA), is also a Chartered Architect with more than 35 years’ experience, including as technical director at the award-winning architectural practice Scott Brownrigg. Peter represents the CPA on the Construction Leadership Council; Future Homes Hub; Industry Response Group; and Retrofit Hub, amongst others. Amanda Long Amanda Long Amanda Long is CEO at Construction Product Information Ltd. She brings 25 years not-for-profit and private sector experience, including at the Considerate Constructors Scheme and, currently, leading the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI). Amanda has achieved substantial recognition for the CCPI from government; Office for Product Safety and Standards and key stakeholders such as Dame Judith Hackitt.
