SPRA Golf Day & Dinner Declared a Perfect Golfing Day

OVER 100 Single Ply Roofing Association (SPRA) members and their guests took part in the SPRA Golf Day and Dinner at Carden Park Golf Course on 21 September 2022.

Golfers taking part in the competition were joined in the afternoon by non-golfing attendees to watch ‘Trick Shot’ entertainment provided by PGA professional golfer, Jeremy Dale. The afternoon’s entertainment was followed by a Drinks Reception and Awards Dinner in the evening in the hotel’s Carden Suite.

Jeremy Dale gave an after-dinner speech about his life as a PGA golf professional and presented the golf competition awards to winners.

Prize winners were:

• Overall Team Winners – MSA Latchways – Paul Horobin, Matt Lines, Wayne Adams, Stuart Pierpoint
• Individual 1st Place – Tim Meston
• Nearest the Pin – Lee Virgin
• Longest Drive – Mark Skelly
• Most Potential for Improvement – Michael Star
• Best Ladies Score – Sarah Mapes
• Trick Shot Challenge – Travis Merryweather

SPRA Golf Day

This year’s SPRA Golf Day saw the event resume after a couple of years of postponement due to Covid restrictions.

Ronan Brunton, SPRA CEO said, “All clearly enjoyed the competition, evening meal and entertainment. It was a chance for SPRA members and guests to meet again at a wonderful venue where the weather was perfect for a golfing day and evening out.

“A big thank you to all our members and their guests for making the day such a memorable occasion and congratulations to all the competition winners.”
