Specialist Lead Workers Complete the Whole Package at St Paul’s School

BRENTWOOD-BASED lead working specialists, LDN Leadwork Ltd, has recently completed a full design, carpentry and leadwork project at St Paul’s Cathedral School in the City of London.

The project, which started in June 2020, involved LDN Leadwork Ltd introducing a load bearing frame work, secret gutters, and random pre-formed leadwork panelling using 4,600kg of Code 5 lead sheet.

The five-strong LDN Leadwork team used the lead panelling to clad 116m² of vertical walling on the third-storey terrace walkway area of the school. The lead panels were hooked on to the framework and the wrap-on top and back sections were welded.

Jay Stubbs, Director and Contracts Manager at LDN Leadwork, said: “These jobs don’t come round too often, which is a shame because they are hugely enjoyable and satisfying to do. Everyone in the LDN team has thoroughly enjoyed working on this project, and the team and the client were thrilled with the result.”

The project was completed in September 2020 and has been entered for the Lead Contractors Association’s Murdoch Sponsors Award in the Project of Excellence of Under 5 tonnes category.
