SIG Roofing Receives Princess Royal Training Award

SIG Roofing’s Sales Academy has been recognised as one of just 57 UK training programmes to receive the prestigious Princess Royal Training Award, demonstrating its commitment to the development of its people and improvement in customer service.

The honour, formally approved and presented by HRH The Princess Royal at a ceremony on 2 December at Fishmongers Hall in London, celebrates organisations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to learning and development.

In its milestone year, celebrating both the Awards’ 10^th anniversary and HRH’s 75^th birthday, SIG Roofing has become part of a community that showcases the transformative impact of training on people, performance, and organisational success.

Princess Royal Training Award

The SIG Roofing Sales Academy was launched in 2023 and is designed to build sales capability through structured learning. Its content is specifically tailored to the roofing business, and they partner with the Institute of Sales Professionals (ISP) for independent assessment.

The specific aims are to equip the sales team with advanced selling techniques and product knowledge and to enhance employee engagement and motivation towards development. They offer a blended learning approach combining self-paced modules via a Learning Management System (LMS), live MS Teams sessions, and classroom workshops. Over 150 members of staff have already completed the training to various levels.
